Dividing Line Books is a New York rare book firm buying and selling materials across a variety of genres. Themes of experimentation, transgression, and radicalism connect our inventory, and we are drawn to works that disrupt prevailing conventions, be they literary, social, or aesthetic. Areas of focus include 20th-century counterculture, artists' books, photography, and poetries of the avant-garde.
We're always interested in acquiring new material in these and other fields, and welcome inquiries of any nature. Though we don't keep open hours at our Ridgewood offices, we'll gladly arrange pickups for local customers. If you haven't already, please consider signing up for our email list, which along with our Instagram account is the best way to see new material and get news about in-person events.
