First issue of this New York sex and counterculture tabloid founded by employees of the East Village Other; editor Fabricant (sometimes "Fabrikant") also publisher of Gay Power and Aquarian Agent. Contents include an introductory editorial; erotic fiction ("Prudie!" by Pearl Joying, "Wet Dreams" by Amalo); an R. Crumb centerspread comic, "The Adventures of Dicknose," reprinted from Jiz Comics; a fashion column by Claudia, featuring a photograph of Yayoi Kusama; a book review; a column by D. A. Latimer; and a poem by Donald Hillegas. Illustrated throughout in black-and-white, including explicit nudes.
N.B. Unlike most later issues, the cover and center-leaves are here printed on higher-quality paperstock, significantly less toned than the newsprint leaves.
