A swimming instruction pamphlet by Olympic athlete and film star Johnny Weissmuller (1904-1984), who won a total of five gold medals in the 1924 and 1928 Olympics and played Tarzan in a dozen adaptations of Edgar Rice Burroughs' novels from 1932 to 1948. Illustrated with photos of Weissmuller demonstrating various strokes, mostly from a standing position, as well as a photo on the title page recto of Weissmuller instructing American boxer Jack Dempsey in the American crawl movement. Published by the underwear company BVD, with advertisements for their swimsuits at front and rear.
