A landmark work by American ethnobotanist R. Gordon Wasson (1898-1986); an illustrated "investigation and analysis of the meaning and use of the divine hallucinogenic mushroom, Psilocybe mexicana, and its relevance to the cultures and peoples of Mesoamerica from pre-Columbian times to the present." A worn but sound reading copy, priced accordingly.
