Six issues of this 1980s crossdressing periodical, notable for offering far more substantive content than many of its more prurient competitors. Contents include a brief report on the First Annual Conference of the International Foundation for Gender Education (Vol. 5, No. 10); a rundown on various hormone therapy options (Vol. 5, No. 10); photo spreads from the 5th Annual "Be All You Want To Be" Weekend (Vol. 5, No. 12) and the Joyce Dewhurst Pocono Weekend (Vol. 6, No. 7); recaps of trans- and gay-related news stories. With numerous recurring columns ("Frockin' Around," "Kay's Way," "Cathy's Column," "TV Tips & Topics," "Fashion/Beauty," a make-up and fashion guide, etc.), as well as erotic fiction, reader letters, recaps of gay and trans-related news stories; personal ads, etc. Occasional frontal nudity, principally in the photographs accompanying personal ads. Our putative dates of publication are taken from cartoons present in several of the volumes. Volen also published and/or edited several other fetish and trans periodicals, among them the tabloid Leather and Lace, and the glossy magazine TransForm. Of this periodical, OCLC locates just five institutions holding copies.
