Nice copy of this early highspot of UFO literature; the first publication by noted contactee George Van Tassel (1910-1978), who hosted from 1953 to 1971 the "Giant Rock Interplanetary Spacecraft Convention" near Landers, California (the Giant Rock being featured here in the photographic frontispiece). Rasmussen 1028: "The author relates "radio messages" allegedly sent to him by "Other-World Intelligences," including "Ashtar," with all of the message reacting to and warning against "man's destructive action."" N.B. This second edition, which repeats the cover illustration of the first, is not specifically noted by Rasmussen, who cites only Van Tassel's self-published 1955 version of the enlarged text (which featured new cover art).
