TRAMMELL, Robert
TRAMMELL, Robert
Dallas: Barnburner Press, 1987. First edition. From an edition of 250 (this copy unnumbered, though apparently called for). [44]pp; xerographed; illus. Oblong 12mo; saddle-stapled in laminated illustrated wraps. Very good, with light wear and soiling to wraps.
A conspiracy and booze-soaked narrative romp, incorporating both prose and poetic elements, that reimagines Lee Harvey Oswald murderer Jack Ruby as an avant-garde art agitator. With b&w line drawings and photo reproductions of Ruby and others throughout. Trammell (1939-2006), a Texas poet and underground literary icon, issued multiple editions of this title; the 2001 version was reprinted (with additional stories) by Deep Vellum in 2021.
