The four-verse lyrics to a song, here titled "Now" but ultimately recorded as "G.I. Joe" by short-lived Bay Area psychedelic rock band Salvation and included on their self-titled first LP of 1968. Tate was the founding guitar player of the group, who called themselves New Salvation Army Banned until a legal challenge from The Salvation Army charitable organization forced them to shorten it to Salvation.
