Oakland and San Francisco: [1970]-1981. 18 vols. Various paginations between 5pp. and 42pp; vols. 1-5, 14, and 15 printed rectos only. Corner-stapled in 11 x 8-1/2 inch self-wraps, save No. 17 which is side-stapled in illustrated blue wraps, 14 x 8-1/2 in. Occasional flaws throughout limited to creasing and corner crimping, light staple oxidation; several issues with flattened mailing creases (No. 18 also with mailing label addressed to Ray DiPalma); front cover of No. 17 detached at bottom staple. All volumes very good to near fine.

Complete run of this important little mag edited by poet Ron Silliman (b. 1946), billed in an early issue as a "private circular for interested parties," and noted for its radical embrace of a range of disruptive, post-Projective poetics, including much work from writers who would come to be associated with the still-nascent L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E movement. Dozens of contributors across the run—with numerous issues dedicated to the work of a single poet—including Rae Armantrout, Larry Eigner, Robert Grenier, Clark Coolidge, David Melnick, Thomas Meyer, David Gitin, Jerome Rothenberg, Bruce Andrews, Raymond Di Palma, Hannah Weiner, Keith Waldrop, Rosemarie Waldrop, Charles Bernstein, Lyn Hejinian, Bob Perelman, Steve Benson, et al. OCLC locates 21 institutions holding copies of this periodical, with only a handful of complete runs; early issues remarkably scarce in the trade.
