SIKELIANOS, Eleni, and Peter Cole
SIKELIANOS, Eleni, and Peter Cole
[San Francisco]: [Full Throttle Press], 1996. Copy "W" of 26 lettered copies signed by both authors; from a total edition of 52. [64]pp; b&w illus. Square 8vo. Side-stapled in illustrated wraps. Very good, with sunning and wear to wraps.
A collaborative work pairing black-and-white "drawings and cloths" by Cole (versos) with poems, written in response, by Sikelianos (rectos). From the limitation page at rear: "In November, 1995, Peter Cole sent seven cloths to Eléni Sikélianòs in Paris, from which she wrote A Book of Ease. A Small Book of UnEase was written in response to and made from letters between the author and the artist." No publisher stated in work, though Sikeliano's CV, accessed through Brown, gives Full Throttle Press as publisher, adding that the work was issued to "accompany collaborative show at Santa Barbara City College." An uncommon early work by noted American experimental poet Sikelianos.
