Association copy of this autobiographical artist's book by multidisciplinary French artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002); illustrations and reproduced holograph texts exploring Saint Phalle's formative adolescent years, with much attention paid to her experiences living in New York City, and her relationship with her father. This copy inscribed to artist Emma [Rivers] (b. 1966), whose work shares many aesthetic and thematic affinities with Saint Phalle's. Rivers' series of dollhouse sculptures, Stage-Set, operates in a similar autobiographical vein, depicting childhood memories and unpacking Rivers' relationship with her own father, the late artist Larry Rivers.
