Signed copy of this illustrated book of verse by American poet and artist Paul Reps (1895-1990), an early adopter in the West of Japanese literary and artistic aesthetics, particularly the haiku, which he used to frequently idiosyncratic ends. This a sort of verse primer on Reps's so-called "picture-poems," illustrated with 13 reproduced black-and-white sumi-e-style brush paintings combining text and graphic components.
