Tokyo: Heibon Shuppan Co., 1978. 129pp.; illus. Quarto; saddle-stapled in publisher's illustrated wraps. Some headings in English, else all text in Japanese. Short split at base of spine; light soiling to wraps; toning to interior. Very good.
An early issue of this influential and long-running Japanese lifestyle magazine, founded in 1976 and still published today: a mix of pop culture and fashion aimed at urban young men—"city boys" as the magazine's subtitle would have it—and a treasure-trove of period advertising and design. This issue with a focus on scuba diving, including "South Pacific in Japan," tips for sports diving, reviews of diving equipment; plus an interview with Mick Jagger, and the usual mix of film, fashion, hobbies, books, gossip, etc.
