Catalog produced to accompany Polke's installation in the West German Pavilion of the 1986 Venice Biennale, which among other things involved painting portions of the room with pigments whose colors fluctuated in response to changes in ambient light and humidity. The predominantly black-and-white photographs here document the space and provide highly abstract detail views. With text by Dierk Stemmler in German, and with original staple-bound Italian translation laid in.
