THE PHANTOM [Joey Krebs]; Fred Rubik, photograph
[No Place]: The Cocked Eye Portfolio, [circa early 1990s]. Photo-illustrated postcard, 6 x 4.25 in. Minor wear and creasing at corners, light toning to verso. Better than very good.
Photo-illustrated postcard depicting a single iteration of the iconic "Art Saves Lives" graffiti of New York-born street artist The Phantom (Joey Krebs, b. 1973). Titled "Phantom Graffio / Los Angeles, California" to rear, with photograph credited to Fred Rubik. Apparently issued by, or as part of, "The Cocked Eye Portfolio." Verso also credits lithography to "ModernAge Printing," with a Los-Angeles area phone number, and distribution to "St. Genis & Associates," with a San Francisco area phone number. We find no other instances of this postcard in the trade, nor in institutional holdings.
