NY: Elephant, 1965-66. 3 vols. [36]; [30]; 24, [1] leaves; all printed rectos only. Vol. 1: 8vo; saddle-stapled in illustrated self-wraps. Vols. 2 & 3: 4to; side-stapled in illustrated wraps. Vol. 1 near fine with short tear/crease to rear cover. Vol. 2 good to very good; rear leaf tenuously attached, as common; with front cover connect-the-dots illustration connected in pencil; foxing to spine; one interior spot of soiling at fore-edge. Vol. 3 very good, with mild foxing at base of front spine.

Complete run of this New York little mag edited by poet and art critic John Perreault (1937-2015), including much work by poets associated with the second generation of the New York School. Vol. 1 with a Gerard Malanga poem "as told to Andy Warhol," who also supplied the cover art. Other contributors across the run include Joseph Ceravolo, Ted Berrigan, Aram Saroyan, Sotere Torregian, James Brodey, Kathleen Fraser, Michael Benedikt, Ruth Kraus, Anne Waldman, Clark Coolidge, et al. Vol. 3 with small illustrations throughout, and page-sized drawings by Regina Snyder and Hugo Mujica. OCLC locates 25 institutions holding copies; all issues scarce in the trade.
