NY: Newspaper, 1969. [28]pp; b&w illus. Unbound newsprint tabloid in two sections; folded twice to form 17 x 11-3/8 inch covers (opening to 22-3/4 x 17 inch leaves). Newsprint toned; chipping to spine of outer section, with splitting at base; occasional closed edge tears. Rather fragile, as often, but complete; good.
Early issue (of fourteen total) of this image-only artists' periodical published by Steve Lawrence between 1968 and 1971, with editorial assistance and contributions from Peter Hujar and Andrew Ullrick. With various reproduced and original images, including advertisements for Andy Warhol's Lonesome Cowboys and the Velvet Underground, and at least one Hujar photograph, La Marchesa Fioravanti (1958). All issues scarce in the trade; OCLC locates no holdings of this issue (Morgan Library the only holder of any issues, with Vol. 2, Nos. 1 and 2).
