Second issue of this periodical presenting the lyrics and melodic notations to contemporary folk songs. Though uncredited here (aside from her songwriting), Peggy Seeger was responsible for compiling and editing the songs, many of which she also wrote. With frequently striking illustrations and typography by Dave Scott. Founded in 1968, New City Songster ran until 1985, producing 21 total volumes. This issue with ten songs, including Seeger's own "Che Guevara."
