Early bookwork by Swiss-born photographer Claudio Moser (b. 1959); a sequence of black-and-white photos featuring people-less streets, buildings, mountains, rooms, etc. In an interview with Philipp Kaiser and Lilian Pfaff as part of a 2012 show of his work, Moser describes the book as an experiment in narrative form falling somewhere between film and literature, and says that the title derives from a neologism in Gerhard Meier's 1979 novel Die Toteninsel (1979). Uncommon. OCLC locates 23 holdings, only 5 in the U.S.
