MOLE, William
MOLE, William
London: Eyre & Spottiswoode, 1953. First edition. 256pp. Small 8vo. Burgundy cloth; illustrated map endpapers; dust jacket. Textblock edges toned and lightly spotted. Unclipped jacket with shallow chipping at spine ends, several short closed tears. Very good.
Nice copy of this adventure tale set in the aftermath of WWII about a British army captain who attempts to "create a Greek city state in modern Provence" (jacket flap). The second novel written under his William Mole pseudonym by Scottish writer William Anthony Younger (1917-61). Dust jacket illustration by [R. M.] Sax.
