First edition of the debut photobook by American photographer Susan Meiselas (b. 1948); black-and-white photographs taken during three years spent traveling among rural strip shows, presented alongside quotes from subjects, dancers, audience members, etc. "A remarkably human document" (Roth 238-39), and a difficult first in such presentable condition.
