Signed poster for a multi-media poetry event held at Public Theatre's Anspacher Auditorium, September 14, 1984. Produced by Rose Lesniak and Karoly Bardosh and hosted by Lou Reed, the event included live and prerecorded elements, and was the official premiere of three "poetry music videos" featuring Allen Ginsberg ("Father Death Blues"), Anne Waldman ("Uh Oh Plutonium"), and Bob Holman ("Rapp It Up"). A midnight reception at Danceteria followed the performance. A scarce and attractive piece of 1980s downtown culture, marking an interesting collision of avant-garde poetry and the incipient MTV generation. Not in OCLC.
