LUCIER, Alvin
LUCIER, Alvin
Middleton, CT: Alvin Lucier, 1988. 15pp. Saddle-stapled in wraps. Light toning at spine, mild rubbing to covers; near fine.
A reproduced holograph essay by American experimental composer Alvin Lucier (1931-2021), outlining his collaborative relationship with the work of fellow composer John Cage (1912-1992). According to Alvin Lucier : A Celebration (2011), p.45, this pamphlet was produced as a program book for the re-creation of the 1965 concert at Brandeis University for the “John Cage at Wesleyan Symposium.” This text later included in Lucier's posthumous Reflections: Interviews, Scores and Writings (2022). Of this scarce edition, OCLC locates only two holdings, at Wesleyan and UC Santa Cruz.
