Canoga Park, CA: Viceroy Books, 1968. 156pp. Mass-market paperback; perfect-bound in illustrated wraps; textblock edges dyed yellow. Near fine, with light edgewear, one small marker smear to front cover.
A thoroughly pornographic sexual coming-of-age novel, with treatments of homosexuality, incest, S&M, etc. Informed by a doctor at age fifteen that he was born intersex, with a "rudimentary vagina under the flesh," the protagonist chooses to begin dressing and identifying as a woman, and later to undergo vaginoplasty and other gender-affirming surgeries. Set in World War II-era France, and ostensibly translated from the French by Jacques Benoit, with an introduction and concluding remarks by an almost certainly fictitious doctor, Heinrich von Keppler. OCLC locates 11 institutional holdings. Scarce in the trade.
