Shelfwear at bottom tips; light scattered foxing to textblock top. Unclipped jacket with wear at spine ends, a few tiny edge tears; light foxing and a sticker ghost to interior. Very good.
First printing of the breakout work by Czech photographer Josef Koudelka (b. 1938), a collection documenting Romani populations in Slovakia and Czechoslovakia in the mid-1960s; "gritty black-and-white photography in the classic photojournalistic style," but animated by a "full-blooded mythologizing rhetoric" uniquely Koudelka's own (Parr & Badger, v1,p. 230).
