A collection of essays on mostly American poets by publisher and arts patron Lita Hornick (1927-2000), noted for her support of avant-garde poets. Essays on John Ashbery, John Giorno, Ed Dorn, Rochelle Owens, Anne Waldman, novelist Dorothy Richardson, Gerard Malanga, Diane Wakoski, and an essay on Hornick's tenure as publisher of seminal literary journal Kulchur, which later gave rise to her Kulchur Press and the Kulchur Foundation. With 8 pages of black-and-white plates at center, and 12 at rear. Published on the imprint of poet and performance artist John Giorno.
