Ten captioned photographs by Michals accompany ten poems by the Greek poet C.P. Cavafy, with Michals' contribution intended not as illustrations of Cavafy's work but as "separate and sympathetic" explorations on the theme of gay love. Jacket shows the usual slightly uneven darkening, else a fine copy. From the collection of the late San Francisco artist and graphic designer Richard Zybert (1947-2017).
