Contributors include Allen Ginsberg (a 12-page selection from his journals), John Wieners, Ed Sanders, Kirby Congdon, and Taylor Mead (a mainstay of Boss, here represented by a long excerpt from Anonymous Diary of a New York Youth, Volume 3). Illustrated with several photographs (including portraits of H. M. Koutoukas, Diane Di Prima, Jay Socin, and David Henderson) and two drawings by Minos Argyrakis.
