[Los Angeles?]: FPE, 1968. 11pp; b&w illus. Corner staple. Horizontal folds from envelope mailing, light oxidation to staple, pencilled title notation to front; very good.
Single issue of the official publication of crossdressing organization Full Personality Expression (FPE), also known as Phi Pi Epsilon, founded in 1962 by transvestite activist Virginia Prince. Contents include a note about the UK's Beamont Society becoming an official International Affiliate of Phi Pi Epsilon; organizational news (dues, new members, the formation of new chapters in Denver and Detroit); literary and TV columns; a long section of colorful and gossipy social news; and a review of Frank Simon's 1968 drag documentary The Queen. With single-panel cartoon illustrations throughout.
Editor Fran Conners, an important early member of FPE, edited Femme Forum from its inception until 1972, when she was briefly succeeded by Los-Angeles-based member Donna before the periodical ceased publication. N.B. The title Femme Forum was revived, beginning in the 1980s, for a periodical issued by the Tau Chi Chapter of American crossdressing organization Tri-Ess. Of this FPE-affiliated publication, OCLC locates only two institutions holding copies (Central Connecticut State, and Texas A&M).
