Uncommon hardcover issue of this jointly authored sociological overview of the mid-60s British drug subculture. The general tone of the book is objective but concerned, if only because the focus rests largely on youth for whom drug use has progressed to crisis-level dependence. Numerous profiles and case studies provide interesting if one-sided points of entry to the discussion of various categories of illicit drugs.
