Collaborative work by celebrated book artists Johanna Drucker and Brad Freeman; "Otherspace presents itself as a narrative of extraterrestrial contact, but it embodies an entire theory of communication in its typography and design" (Druckworks 1972-2012, pp. 78-79). A formally striking work pulling together quotes and images, most on the subject of Mars, from a variety of sources, as painstakingly collaged together digitally by Drucker and Freeman in a process that took "about 1200 hours."
