The Book of the Law [technically called LIBER Al vel LEGIS SUB FIGURA CCXX AS DELIVERED BY XCIII=418 TO DCLXVI]
CROWLEY, Aleister
CROWLEY, Aleister
Albion: Booklegger, [circa 1971]. [34]pp. Saddle-stapled in wraps. Soiling and damp-staining to covers; crimping to page corners; light musty odor. Good.
Early 1970s pirate edition of the central text of the occult religion Thelema, as written in 1904 and first published in 1909 by English occultist and writer Aleister Crowley (1875-1947). A rather worn copy, suitable for reading/study purposes, and illustrative of the 1970s surge of interest in Crowley's work. We have tentatively dated this edition by way of a list of Unicorn Books titles at rear, with statement "in print Summer 1971."
