NOTLEY, Alice, ed.
NOTLEY, Alice, ed.
Chicago: The Chicago Press, 1972. [79] leaves, mimeographed to rectos only. Side stapled, with illustrated card cover, 14 x 8-1/2 in. Curling and creasing to corners of textblock; vertical strip of foxing to cover. Good to very good.
The fourth of nine total issues of this mimeographed little mag edited and published by poet Alice Notley (1945-2025). With substantial contributions from Harris Schiff, Henry Kanabus, Anne Waldman, Richard Friedman, Ted Berrigan, David Drum, Simon Schuchat, and Tom Clark. One interior illustration by Tom Clark; front cover by George Schneeman, who designed a series of interconnected collage covers for the first six issues.
N.B. Though the contents page calls for "front and back covers" by Scheeman, the latter is not present on this copy, which ends with the final leaf (nor are we aware that any issues had illustrated rear covers). An important mimeo publication, scarce in the trade.
