San Francisco Renaissance poet Ebbe Borregaard's colorful prose account of an extended camping trip (in the Sierra Nevadas, we gather), as beginning: "Arrived Sat Eve 25, rain & fog; spent our first night (seven of us) soaking wet, misery except for pot."
