First issue of this substantive but apparently short-lived crossdressing journal. Contents include articles on gender-neutral children's clothing of the 19th century crossdressing stereotypes (by Chevalier publisher and Transvestia founder Virginia Prince); grammatical gender conventions in transvestite fiction; what to expect if going to the ER while in drag; fiction; photo spreads; newspaper clippings; etc. Illustrated throughout in black-and-white, and with cover art by Barbara Jean. Editor Beecroft was the first president of Tri-Ess, or the Society for the Second Self, a crossdressing organization formed in 1976 when Beecroft’s earlier Mamselle Sorority merged with Virginia Prince’s Foundation for Personality Expression; also editor of the Tri-Ess journal, Femme Mirror. OCLC locates six institutions holding copies of this periodical.
