An as-new signed copy of the first book by Egyptian-born photographer Mariette Pathy Allen (b. 1940), noted for her continued documentation of queer, trans, and genderfluid communities. Photographs of dozens of crossdressers—"men who depend on feminine imagery to reach full personality expression," as the jacket flap describes them—each accompanied by a brief autobiographical statement. This copy also inscribed by two of its subjects, Ariadne and Felicity, at their entries. Illustrated in black-and-white, with 16 pages of color plates at center.
