Uncommon pamphlet collecting various statements advising against the use of hallucinogens by the Indian spiritual leader Meher Baba (1894-1969), an important figure in the 1960s counterculture. Baba warns that LSD and related drugs cannot provide a shortcut to true spiritual awakening, and indeed may only lead one further from such a goal. An interesting counterargument to the view, then prevalent among advocates of psychedelic experimentation, that such substances possess the de facto power of entheogenic revelation.
