Conversations with Sheryl Sutton: The Novel of a Dialogue

Manchester/Budapest: Carcanet/Corvina, 1992. First edition. Octavo; 111pp.; black textured-paper boards, gold spine lettering; dust jacket. Very near fine, with light bumping to top board corners and head of spine. In a near fine, unclipped jacket, lightly crumped at top tips and with mild toning to perimeters.

An experimental novel based on the Hungarian poet's creatively fertile encounters with American actress Sheryl Sutton, whom he first met at a 1973 production of Robert Wilson's Deafman Glance in Paris. Originally published in Hungarian in 1977, and here translated into English for the first time by Peter Jay and Eva Major.
