Journeys into the Bright World

Rockport, MA: Para Research, 1978. First edition, one of 5,000 copies. 8vo. Perfect-bound in illustrated wraps. 184pp.; bibliography. Moderate wear and rubbing to edges of wraps, some light soiling/foxing to textblock top. Very good, with uncreased spine.

Solid copy of the final book by American writer, yoga instructor, and occultist Marcia Moore (1928-1979), as co-authored with her fourth husband: a treatise on the dissociative anesthetic ketamine hydrochloride and its potential as a vehicle for past-life recall. A heavy ketamine user, Moore died in 1979 under mysterious circumstances, having disappeared in the woods near her Washington-state home; her remains went undiscovered for two years. Despite its generous limitation, a notoriously uncommon book in the canon of drug literature.
